Intimate Washington Elopement
This wedding was a Christmas dream…
When William and Kaitlin reached out to me and told me they were having an intimate elopement in Washington on Christmas Eve, I was immediately on board.
From the first time we spoke on the phone, I could tell how kind and down to earth these two are. The way they spoke about their elopement and their ideas, it was clear they wanted to celebrate their love in a way that really represented them. For them that meant a rustic cabin in the Washington woods, and a tiny ceremony in front of a Christmas tree filled with lights. They really wanted to capture the beautiful PNW nature around them so we focused on detail shots of the cabin and scenery, as well as Kaitlin’s hiking boots and a first look location on a beautiful bridge in Port Angeles. The rest of the afternoon was full of toasts from the people closest to them, and an evening enjoying Christmas Eve with their two daughters.
Every little detail of this elopement was so unique and intimate, perfectly representative of these two and their sweet family. I couldn’t imagine a better way to spend Christmas Eve.
I feel so lucky to have gotten to spend this absolutely amazing day with these two and it was such a sweet elopement. Since elopements today can mean so many different things, I’m including some helpful planning resources below!
